The “My Quit Story” series showcases local community members’ quit stories sharing what motivated them to quit, quit attempt obstacles, and cessation resources. We hope by hearing their stories it will encourage others to quit in an effort to reduce the number of deaths in Wisconsin related to nicotine addiction.

Annually over 7,000 Wisconsin residents die because of smoking and over 40% of those deaths are individuals with substance use and mental health disorders.

I’m Ready to Quit

Cessation resources are available at no cost to support the individual quit journey. If you are ready to quit smoking for free contact the Wisconsin Tobacco Quit Line 1-800-QUIT-NOW (1-800-784-8669).
